About a month ago my dad retired...woohoo! Being a once in a lifetime deal...we decided that he deserved to be spoiled and took him out to dinner at The Roof in Salt Lake. If you've ever eaten there then you know that the food is good and the atmosphere is amazing...mostly because you are literally looking straight at the temple. After multiple trips to the buffet we had my dad open his gift (a laptop...which will come in handy when they leave for their mission). My mom also pieced a quilt made from some of his work clothes and in each one of the shirt pockets was a memory from his family...it was seriously the cutest and funnest gift ever!!! I want my dad to know that I am so grateful for the many grueling days of work he put in on behalf of his family...he totally deserves to finally retire! Happy Retirement Dad!

Your Dad is awesome...wish him luck for us. It is fun to see the hard work pay off and be able to retire and serve the Lord. Your parents will do great in Germany. Russ's parents had such neat experiences on both of their missions. The made some life time friends. The family was so blessed to have them out. This will truly be a neat time in their lives.
Your Dad is so cute. He and your Mom are going to make great missionaries. That quilt was such a good idea.
